Clinical Interests: Pediatric respiratory disorders, particularly management of cystic fibrosis and its complications. Participation in local and national quality improvement initiatives for CF patients. Currently on the CF Foundation's Pulmonary Exacerbation Guidelines committee (2008).

Dr. Wynton C. Hoover, MD UAB Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine Clinical Interests: Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma and General Pediatric Pulmonology. Research interests: Cystic Fibrosis Quality Improvement Initiatives and Translational Clinical Research. I was raised in Louisianna, but spent time in Mississippi, Florida and Indiana before moving to Birmingham. My interests outside the hospital include: golf, exercise, listening to music, cooking and spending time with my family.

Dr. Steven Rowe, MD Assistant Professor, Director of UAB CF Transition Clinic
Major Research Interests: Basic Science research geared towards correction of mutant cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR), and designing and conducting clinical trials testing of new therapeutic agents to treat CF. Currently providing outpatient care through regular CF and Transition Clinic.

Dr. J. P. Clancy, MD Professor, Division Director, UAB Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
Clinical Interests: Cystic Fibrosis clinical research and patient management very active in clinical trial design and execution through the CFF-Therapeutic Development Network. I was born and raised in Iowa (GO HAWKS!) and lived in Virginia before moving to Birmingham in 1993. My interests outside the hospital include jogging, mountain biking, and live music. My wife and I have a son and 2 daughters, and we love to travel when the opportunity arises.
