Kathy Bains, RN, CPN Clinic Coordinator
I have been employed at Children's Hospital since 1977 after receiving my BSN in Nursing from UAB. I have been working in the Pulmonary Division since 1978. I am the Coordinator of the clinic. When I began here as the only CF nurse, we had 60 CF patients that we followed. I have enjoyed being a part of this CF Center as it has now grown to more than 300 patients and families. We now have 4 full-time clinic nurses and due to the clinic growth, I now manage staff and all activities in Clinic 6. I enjoy the beach, gardening, reading and Alabama football.
